The Knights looked strong on the first day of the tournament with wins over Hollis Cavalliers (7-0) and Pickering Panthers (9-3). They lost a close one the next morning to the Cornwall Colts (2-3) to close out the round-robin games but they had already secured a birth in the playoffs that afternoon, where they easily defeated the Hollis Cavalliers (5-0) to advance to the finals. Their opponent was the Cornwall Colts and with the memories of the loss the previous day still fresh in their minds, the Knights were able to take their game up a notch and defeated the Colts (5-2) and took the Gold Cup!!
